Workwise program.
Available to our SIL and ILO participants
Our participants get paid with guaranteed employment in our workwise crew.
At Carewise we’re big on equal opportunity, especially when it comes to accessing employment. Over and over again we’ve seen how our young NDIS participants are being overlooked for jobs and work opportunities despite them having the eagerness and willingness to contribute and work hard. Workwise exist to provide our participants with opportunity to up-skill, work and get paid.
We're breaking down barriers.
Workwise is about bringing down barriers NDIS participants often face and creating a “safe place” to learn new skills and to better understand appropriate workplace behaviour. We also focus on building habits that will help sustain employment and build upon employability in the future. Workwise is a supportive and understanding work environment that embraces the key principles of the NDIS psychosocial recovery framework.
The Workwise crew gives back to the community.
Our projects aim to give back to the community and to people who are less fortunate than us. This is an important aspect of the program as our young men get to experience the benefits that come with helping others and being of service. These are some of the task that our participants get involved in with Workwise:
Lawn Maintenance
Rubbish Pick Ups
Landscaping
Yard Clean Ups
Property Maintenance
Removalist Work
Our participants are fully covered.
Supervised by qualified trade staff, our participants work hand-in-hand with their support workers within a structured day of learning, collaboration and hard work. Each participant is fully insured, paid award wages and gains all the benefits that come from getting outdoors and doing a solid day's work.
We work to assist participants into future work opportunities too.
We connect our participants who are not interested in doing property maintenance and landscaping work with DES providers, as they have partnered with some of Australia's largest companies to bring work opportunities to people who face psychosocial challenges due to mental health issues.
