Our mission.
Our mission is to have a life changing impact on young men with cognitive impairment, mental ill health and psychosocial challenges.
As an organisation, we often get asked the question why we have chosen to specialize in young men. For us the answer is easy. We know that they are underserved so this motivates us to want to step up to the plate and support them through all aspects of their lives. Where others might see problems and challenges, we see solutions and potential.
We strongly believe that it is important to love what you do as it will show up in the quality of work and service that you provide. We are not trying to be everything to everyone, rather we are laser focussed on giving everything we have to our young men. Guiding and supporting them is not only where our experience and expertise lies, it's also what we are passionate about.
Meet the founders of Carewise.
"I am extremely passionate about the futures of the young men that we serve here at Carewise Group. I have been a support worker to many young people over the course of 15 years, and I was often left frustrated with the services and programs on offer to them. I felt that these young men were misunderstood and underserved, and as a result they were struggling to live up to their potential. Our vision is to provide the kind of support that empowers them, builds their confidence and helps them to find their unique intelligence. By doing so, they can then take advantage of the opportunities and resources that we are committed to providing them."

"I began my journey in social services through my two year humanitarian service mission in Japan. It was there that I found a passion for working in aged care and youth work and the eventual decision to study Social Work in university. Upon completing my studies an opportunity to work in Disability came and I haven't looked back since. Working and seeing progress in the young men that I work with is very fulfilling. In my 15 years of support worker role I have seen first hand the service models and practices that are most effective. With that experience I am passionate and determined to utilise the best practices to make the most positive impact in the lives of our participants."

We're a little different.
We breakthrough the traditional way of thinking when it comes to caring for our NDIS participants. With a unique care model, in which each SIL house only has 2 support workers who work on a 7 day on/7 day off roster, we build trust with our young men and provide them with continuity of care. Since our support workers are working for 7 days straight, it allows them to deliver our Skillwise program in the home of the participant. The program recognises and rewards our participants for upskilling in 7 key areas of independent living. Exclusive to our SIL and ILO participants is our Workwise program. It is designed to be a safe place for our young men to develop their employability whilst earning award wages. Our organised social events, such as BBQ's, camping trips etc help foster an atmosphere for our participants to meet other young men and develop friendships that last.
