Workwise program.
Available to our SIL and ILO participants
Get a job in our Workwise crew.
We created Workwise as a safe place for you to upskill, work and get paid. You will work 2 days a week and be part of a team that gives back to the community in the form of service projects. You might help a single mother to move homes on one day and then assist someone less fortunate to clean up their back yard on another day. No day will look the same, you'll learn skills along the way whilst earning an award wage and working with other cool young people.
We're giving back! Here are some of the ways Workwise helps out in the community.
Lawn Maintenance
Rubbish Pick Ups
Property Maintenance
Landscaping
Yard Clean Ups
Removalist Projects
Work alongside other young men, learn new skills and get paid.
You will work side by side with your support worker on each community service project. A typical day begins with a team meeting to talk about the job ahead. We then discuss the "topic of the day", such as building effective work habits, conflict resolution and positive communication. These learning modules will help you to build upon your employability so that you can thrive in future employment. As a team we then get stuck into the work.
We've got you covered.
Fully supervised by qualified trade staff, you will work hand-in-hand with your support workers within a structured day of learning, collaboration and hard work. You'll be covered by insurance and Workcover. You will gain all the benefits that come from getting outdoors, doing a days work and helping others.
Landscaping and Gardening not your thing?
We also help our SIL and ILO participants to find work that better suits them. We can connect you with one of our preferred DES providers who, we know, have real jobs available for those young men who want to find work. Through our SIL and ILO programs we will support you to sustain your new job by providing stable and enriching home life.
